"Naby" - An Osmium, Platinum & Rock Crystal ring
Since osmium is predominantly mined in South Africa, 'Naby' is named after the Afrikaans word for 'close'.
Naby celebrates the amazing crystalline structure of Osmium. The closer you look, the more fascinating the surface texture appears. This was the inspiration for the design of 'Naby.
The grooved detailing running through the Platinum mount was designed by sketching a path through the textured surface of Osmium under huge magnification.
The centre piece of the ring is a flat disc of Osmium set under a piece of rock crystal which serves to magnify the surface.
The shoulders are flush set with natural, round, brilliant cut Diamonds. These complement the sparkle of the magnified Osmium.
The result is a stunning statement piece that shows Osmium under magnification set into a mount that is inspired by the surface of this rare, beautiful & unique material.
